Who are we?
The North West Association of Aeromedical Responders (NWAAR) is an air medical trade association comprised of Oregon, Washington, and Idaho Members. NWAAR members include state licensed Oregon, Washington and Idaho air ambulance services (fixed and rotor wing), public entities, and individuals representing organizations having an interest in, or providing for the air medical transportation of critically ill or injured patients. The membership meetings rotate tri-annually in Portland, Seattle, and Boise.
The purpose of NWAAR is for the membership to work in cooperation to enhance operational safety; to develop best practice initiatives; to improve overall system efficiencies; to promote a positive perception and continued availability of air medical services to the public; to monitor changes and trends in the air medical industry and mitigate any risk to the industry; to develop processes that foster appropriate air medical resource utilization throughout the Northwest region; and to achieve a formalized mutual aid structure that optimizes the use of air medical resources in the event of a mass casualty incident or homeland emergencies.
